Role Description/Key Responsibilities

The role of the User Experience Designer will be to ensure that VoiceWeb’s products and solutions (including Speech, Smartphone and Video Applications) meet business needs while providing an unparalleled customer experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Identify user interface requirements; help define project approach and user experience strategy
• Understand business requirements and priorities associated with new and existing IVRs. Analyze existing IVRs to identify and recommend improvement opportunities
• Define the user interaction model and workflows
• Develop prototypes
• Develop User Interface Specifications and Guidelines
• Conduct evaluations on existing products
• Design call flows, including associated prompts and grammars
• Generate user personas and use scenarios
• Set conceptual design and suggest product direction based on field research and functional requirements
• Identify and define requirements for new capabilities that are required in the company application platform
• Maintain and apply consistent standards to IVR, video and smartphone apps designs including common IVR structure and vocabulary
• Facilitate and manage prompt translation and recording processes.
• Coach voice talents
• Manage and analyze Usability Testing
• Work closely with (local and remote) engineers to implement and deliver the final product
• Facilitate project communication across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Design, or related field
• 5+ years of experience designing user interfaces for applications with at least 2 years mobile device design and 2 years of speech user interface design
• In-depth understanding of mobile & tablet User Interface technologies and their applications
• VUI design experience, including speech-enabled IVRs
• Experience in a multi-language IVR environment
• Experience with usability testing
• Understanding of IVR industry best practices, including key decision factors and tradeoffs
• Fluency in English
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Team spirit. Ability to mentor and advice team members
• Excellent organizational & time management skills
• Strong sense of responsibility.
• Multi-tasking abilities
• Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and facilitate collaboration across a diverse team
• Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems and convey these designs in the form of presentations, prototypes, and design specifications
